The invention relates to a continuous furnace for the glass industry, in particular annealing (cooling) and decorating furnace for low-particle stress relief and decoration, having a circulating endless conveyor belt for receiving the glassware, in the interior of which furnace are arranged a plurality of air circulators which circulate, in sections, the air heated by controllable heating devices. The interior of the continuous furnace consists, in certain areas, of high-grade steel, as does the conveyor belt for the glasswear. In addition, the continuous furnace as belt-guiding and belt-touching components. The components located in the interior of the continuous furnace, and the outer wall of the continuous furnace, now consist of high-grade steel.
