In order that grass can grow constantly even under a closed covering, the invention provides, in order to influence and promote the growth, for the grass to be provided with light by means of artificial light sources for approximately 8 to 12 hours in 24 hours, for the atmosphere, to which the grass is exposed, to be moved constantly or at intervals and/or to be exchanged constantly or from time to time, and for the quantity of carbon dioxide, which is absorbed by the grass, to be supplied to the atmosphere in the room continuously or at intervals. Grass can thus grow, at any time of the year, corresponding to the natural prerequisites, with the result that, beneath a covering, a lawn surface, which withstands even high stressing and can be used at any time after removing the covering, is formed. |
