PURPOSE:To give a variation to an automatic accompaniment corresponding to the climax of a melody performance by detecting a key touch accompanying the melody performance and controlling fill-in pattern insertion, accompaniment pattern modification, etc. CONSTITUTION:Signals ITS and ATS corresponding to the state of a key touch on a keyboard are supplied from an initial touch sensor 2 and an after-touch sensor 3 to an accompaniment pattern modification control circuit 9. An accompaniment pattern memory 4 is stored with, for example, five kind of accompaniment patterns corresponding to respective rhythm kinds selected with a rhythm kind selection switch 5. With a mode selection switch 8, the styles of fill-in pattern insertion and accompaniment pattern modification to be performed by the automatic accompaniment device are selected according to the state of the touch on the key. Then an accompaniment pattern modification control circuit 9 detects the key touch state on the basis of the outputs of the sensors 2 and 3 and controls the insertion of a fill-in pattern and the modification of the accompaniment pattern according to the mode selected with the selection switch 8. |
