<p>PURPOSE:To easily set the width of lines while drawing the characters, graphics, etc., on a display device by changing the writing pressure, the tilt, etc., of an electronic pen. CONSTITUTION:When an electronic pen 4 is operated on the screen of a display device 3, the characters, graphics, etc., are displayed on the device 3 in accordance with the operations of the pen 4. The pen 4 contains an operating state detecting means 5 which detects the writing pressure, the direction, the tilt, etc., of the pen 4. Thus the means 5 detects the operating state of the pen 4 if the writing pressure, the direction or the tilt of the pen 4 are changed when the characters, graphics, etc., are drawn on the device 3 with operations of the pen 5. The detected operating state of the pen 4 is sent to a processor 2. The processor 2 sets the width of lines based on the operating state detected by the means 5 and displays the characters, graphics, etc., on the device 3.</p> |
