PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesion of a 1st dielectric layer to a substrate and to enhance the durability of an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION:When at least the 1st dielectric layer 12, a recording layer 13 and a 2nd dielectric layer 14 are successively laminated on the transparent substrate 11 to obtain the optical recording medium, the 1st dielectric layer 12 is formed with a material represented by a general formula Mx'Ry' (where M is a metal or metalloid, R is N, C, O or S as a light element and x' and y' show the ratio of M:R) so that the value of y'/x' in the material in the thickness direction is made highest at a position close to the substrate 11. |
