<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate various problems even when the particle diameter of a nonmagnetic one-component developer is reduced and to attain high image quality at the time of forming an image with the developer by using specified toner particles and hydrophobic silica particles as the constituents of the developer. CONSTITUTION:Carbon black having <=20nm average particle diameter and <=0.05 structure index is incorporated into toner particles made of a fixing resin by <=6 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the fixing resin and hydrophobic silica particles having +500 to +1,000muC/g or -500 to -1,000muC/g extent of electrostatic charge and >=14nm primary particle diameter are added to the toner particles to obtain the objective nonmagnetic one-component developer. The carbon black used is prepd. by selecting carbon black satisfying the required characteristics among channel black, roller black, disk black, gas furnace black, oil furnace black, thermal black, acetylene black, etc.</p> |
