MANUFACTURE OF FLAT TYPE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To increase capacity and decrease self discharge by filling and pressing a positive mix in a separator, inserting it into a compartment comprising plastic so that the exposed surface of the positive mix is brought into contact with a conductive partition wall and the opposite surface is faced with a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:A positive mix 7 is filled in a separator 6 formed in a measure form. The separator 6 and the positive mix 7 are pressed in a die to form a rectangular prism molding. The molding is inserted into a compartment of plastic case 1 and the exposed surface of the positive mix 7 is brought into contact with a conductive partition wall 2. Its opposite surface is faced with a negative electrode 8. Three compartments are connected in series and one outer wall 3 serves as a negative terminal and the other wall 4 acts as a positive terminal.
