PURPOSE:To automatically perform photographing where the occurrence of a red-eye phenomenon is reduced when a human being is photographed and photographing where a release time lag is shortened when a moving subject is photographed, respectively. CONSTITUTION:This camera is provided with a control means 21 automatically presetting a red-eye moderating mode to be on when a magnification fixed mode or a daylight synchro photographing mode is set by a mode setting means 6, so that the red-eye moderating mode is automatically preset to be on when a mode dedicated to photographing a human being is set. Then, it is provided with the control means 21 automatically presetting the red-eye moderating mode to be off when a servo AF mode is set by the mode setting means, so that the red-eye moderating mode is automatically preset to be off when a mode dedicated to photographing a moving subject is set. |
