PURPOSE:To easily execute color display which precisely corresponds to the content of a video picture without giving a burden on a host device-side by adjusting the luminance of a luminance signal and converting a luminance change into a color change. CONSTITUTION:Analog monochromatic picture data AD inputted from a video camera 56 is converted into digital data by an A/D converter 62. A luminance signal conversion part 76 executes a prescribed conversion processing for an input signal by using a conversion table 72, and it converts the input signal into a signal where only a required luminance range is emphasized. A color conversion part 96 executes a prescribed conversion processing as against the input signal by using a conversion table 92, and one color is allocated in accordance with respective luminance of the input/signal. A hue and luminance information are set to be a pair and they are outputted. Analog picture data AD stored in a memory 66 is overlap-processed with digital picture data DD stored in a memory 68 in a picture synthesis part 70 and they are displayed in a display 18. |
