<p>PURPOSE:To prevent defective transfer, defective separation and defective fixation from being executed even when the recording papers of different thickness are used by providing a control means changing the image forming conditions of respective parts based on the calculated thickness of the recording paper. CONSTITUTION:When the weight of the recording paper is detected by a paper weight sensor, relation among the size, the weight and the thickness of the recording paper previously stored in a ROM 111 is referred to and the thickness of the carried recording paper is obtained based on the detected weight of the recording paper and the size thereof calculated by the calculating action of the size thereof by a CPU 112. Based on the obtained paper thickness, such control that the transferring and separating conditions or (and) the fixing condition are changed is executed. Besides, the weight of the recording paper is corrected by the CPU 112 by subtracting moisture content from the weight of the recording paper detected by the paper weight sensor based on the temperature of a paper supply cassette measured by a temperature sensor 103 when the weight of the recording paper is detected by the paper weight sensor.</p> |
