CONSTITUTION:This carpet is composed of a gray-fabric consisting of a base fabric 2 and a number of pile yarns 3 flocked on the base fabric 2 and a felt- like fiber layer 4 containing a heat-meltable fiber as a backing material on the back face of the base fabric 2. A needle punch is applied from the back side of the carpet to the fiber layer 4 by a needle 5. As a result, the fiber layer 4 is entangled with the fiber of the base fabric 2 and both fibers are fixed by heating to bind the fiber layer 4 to the base fabric 2. |
