MAGNESIA-DOLOMITE BRICK AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To produce a corrosion resistant magnesia-dolomite brick not causing peeling phenomenon due to the penetration of slag. CONSTITUTION:One or more among 0.2-3wt.% fine SiO2 powder having 0.5-1mum average particle diameter, 0.5-5wt.% fine CaO powder having <=104mum particle diameter and 0.5-8wt.% fine CaO.ZrO2 powder having <=104mum particle diameter are added to the matrix of a brick composed essentially of 45-75wt.% MgO and 10-55wt.% CaO so as to regulate the gas permeability to <=15cm<2>/sec.cmH2 O.
