PURPOSE:To enable a user to easily perform his correction/addition, in a visual simulator having two stages of modelling functions, by using Petri-net model as a subordinate model. CONSTITUTION:The figure of a physical distribution element as inputted is stored in a physical distribution element storage section 2', and the physical distribution element disposition model prepared using this figure is stored in a physical distribution element disposition model storage section 4'. The Petri-net model described using Petri-net representing the function of the inputted physical distribution element is stored in a Petri-net model storage section 7. The Petri- net model and the physical distribution disposition model are automatically arranged in corresponding relation to each other by a Petri-net disposition model preparation-functioning/processing section 8, whereupon physical distribution simulation with respect thereto is executed by a physical-distribution- simulation execution section 5'. The Petri-net is composed of fundamental elements which represent the flow of an article. By combining those fundamental elements, the relevant physical distribution elements can be easily inputted. This eliminates the necessity of a user's having a special know-how as an obligatory. |
