摘要 In a motor vehicle with an anti-lock brake system, an automatic braking operation is triggered after at least one wheel has reached the lock-up limit, as a result of which a valve 11 is switched to supply atmospheric air to a booster 42 so that the wheels not subjected to ABS control are supplied with increased pressure from the brake master cylinder. It is envisaged that the pedal position and the brake pressure for the wheels not subjected to ABS control should be correlated during the automatic braking operation in such a way that the said brake pressure is no greater than would correspond to the position of the pedal in the case of a normal braking operation, whereby, on the one hand, rapid braking of these wheels is achieved and, on the other hand, the pedal position continues to represent a reliable measure of the brake pressure. <IMAGE>
