The invention relates to a transport container with pivotable side walls which are linked to the container bottom and are releasably attached to adjacent side walls, the side wall being raised prior to attachment to an adjacent side wall, a curved surface being attached on or near to the side-wall joint, along which curved surface a region of the side wall slides while the side wall is being pivoted up in order to raise the side wall. <IMAGE>
