The invention relates to a laundry drier with a condenser block, accommodated in a machine housing, for condensing the laundry moisture transferred into the process air, in which laundry drier the condenser block is cooled by means of cold air from the environment and a collecting container for the condensation water from the condenser block is provided. The effectiveness of the condenser system can be increased, along with simpler assembly and a lower outlay in terms of parts, by designing the collecting container as a receiving container for the condenser block and by arranging the condenser block at least partially in liquid which can be introduced or is introduced into the receiving container, and/or by making it possible to moisten the condenser block at least periodically by means of liquid which can be supplied by means of a circulation system.
