<p>This process for manufacturing a dashboard, including a support reinforcement (1) over which is arranged a covering comprising a visible skin (5) and a layer (6) of filling foam, the dashboard including at least one opening (13) for accommodating an item of equipment of the vehicle, is characterised in that it includes the following steps: - an impermeable reinforcement (1), including at least one frangible portion (2) connected to the rest of the latter by rupture zones (3, 4), is produced by injecting plastic into a mould; - this reinforcement (1) is arranged in a foaming mould in order to form the covering (5, 6); - the covering (5, 6) is cut in the region of the rupture zones (3, 4); and - pressure is exerted on the frangible portion (2) of the reinforcement (1) in order to break the rupture zones (3, 4) and to reveal the corresponding opening. <IMAGE></p> |
