PURPOSE:To provide a reception circuit for infrared ray remote control data and its control method in which infrared ray remote control data are read, a load of a CPU used for the processing is relieved and the processing capability of the CPU is improved. CONSTITUTION:A shift register 10 samples a pulse signal from a photoelectric conversion circuit 2 in a timing of a clock signal sent from a timer circuit 1, stores plural (n) bits while shifting the signal one by one bit, a frequency divider circuit 11 frequency-divides a clock pulse sent from the timer circuit 1 into 1/n clocks to interrupt a CPU 4, the CPU 4 reads n-bit data stored in the shift register 10 by the interrupt processing in parallel via an input port 3' and stores the data to a memory 5 as the infrared ray remote control data reception circuit and its control method. |
