摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a liq.-crystal oriented film, liq. crystal clamping substrate and liq. crystal display element capable of maintaining a high tilt angle to a liq. crystal molecule by specifying the compd. forming a coating soln. for the liq.-crystal cell. CONSTITUTION:An imide compd. obtained by allowing one mol of polyamic acid and aromatic tetracarboxylic dianhydride to react with about two mols of an aliphatic monoaimine is used. The polyamic acid is obtained by allowing tetracarboxylic dianhydride to react with a diamine in the presence of a solvent at <=50 deg.C. The equimolar amt. of the tetracarboxylic dianhydride and diamine are preferably used. The polyamic acid and imide compd. are dissolved in a solvent to form a coating soln. for a liq.-crystal cell. The same solvent as that used in the synthesis of the polyamic acid or imide compd. is used as the solvent. The mixing method is not limited but is carried out usually at the temperature <=50 deg.C.
