<p>PURPOSE:To make possible preservation over a long period of time by incorporating a specified compd. as an electrostatic charge controlling agent. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic toner contains one or more kinds of compds. represented by the formula [where R is 0-16C alkylene, phenylene, phenylenebis (methylene), 4-8C cycloalkane or naphthylene, each of X<1>-X<4> is methylene or carbonyl and each of Y<1>-Y<4> is pyridine or phenyl]. An electrostatic charge controlling agent is produced as follows: 98 pts.wt. 10wt.% soln. of a styrene-butyl acrylate copolymer in THF is added to 2 pts.wt. N,N',N',N '-tetrakis (2-pyridyl-methyl) ethylenediamine represented by the formula (where R is ethylene, each of X<1>-X<4> is methylene and each of Y<1>-Y<4> is pyridmne bonding to the adjacent one of X<1>-X<4> at the 2-position) and they are well mixed.</p> |
