<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a low-cost color toner excellent in transparency, hue and saturation and having high light resistance and fastness by using a resin binder, a dye, an antioxidant and a specified compd. as essential components. CONSTITUTION:This electrophotographic toner contains a resin binder, a dye, an antioxidant and a compd. represented by the formula as essential components. Polyester resin-based resin is most preferably used as the resin binder. A disperse dye, an oil-soluble dye or a vat dye may be used as the dye. The antioxidant is used as a general term for a chain initiation inhibitor, a radical chain inhibitor, a peroxide decomposing agent, a synergist, etc. A transition metallic complex salt of the compd. represented by the formula may be contained as an essential component. In the formula, each of R1-R3 is H, halogen, 1-16C optionally branched alkyl, etc., M is a metal, preferably Ni, Co, Fe, Cu, Pb or Zn and X is O or S.</p> |
