PURPOSE:To easily grasp the cause of a fault, a treatment and a restoration procedure, to substantially reduce restoration time, to eliminate the errors of an operation and the omission of the operation and to efficiently perform a restoration operation. CONSTITUTION:This restoration supporting device is provided with a reception processing means 1 for receiving the diagnostic information of a failure substrate when the failure of an electronic equipment is generated, a diagnostic information sampling means 2 for sampling the received diagnostic information and storing them for the respective kinds of the substrates, a diagnostic information analysis means 3 for investigating the cause from the sampled diagnostic information and displaying the cause of the fault and the treatment at a display part 4, a restoration procedure preservation means 5 for preserving the restoration procedures corresponding to the various kinds of the causes of the fault and the treatments, a program preservation means 7 for preserving the program of the electronic equipment and a restoration procedure jugement processing means 6 for reading the pertinent restoration procedure from the restoration procedure preservation means 5 based on the cause of the fault and the treatment, displaying it at the display part 4 and performing an instruction for down-loading the program of the program preservation means 7 to the electronic equipment when a program loading is required from the restoration procedure. |
