ALUMINUM DRUM WITH A CORROSION RESISTANT SURFACE AND PROCESS FOR COATING IT

The aluminum drum of diameter 63 mm is anodized in an electrolyte consisting of 8-12% of sulfuric acid and 2-5% of oxalic acid for 10 min. under 40 V and 100 mA. A resin structure that micro holes has of below 0.1 μm and porosity of 0.1-0.3 is formed on the surface of aluminium drum. A tetrafluoro ethylene is coated for 30 min. on the surface of aluminium and cured at 400 deg.C.
