The invention relates to a fishing sinker consisting of two half-shells (1, 2) defining a cavity bounded by a junction edge (5), which half-shells are mounted so as to pivot with respect to each other about a spindle, and are loaded by elastic means (3) able to keep them in a position of closure of the sinker in which the half-shells (1, 2) are in contact via their junction edge. According to the invention, the junction edge (5) of at least one of the half-shells (1, 2) includes at least one projecting stud (10, 10'), and the junction edge (5, 5') of the other half-shell (1, 2), in a position corresponding to each stud (10, 10'), includes a recess (11, 11') able to house the said stud in the position of closure of the sinker. <IMAGE>
