PURPOSE:To reduce reflected light of a whole body of a transparent plate coated with a reflection reducing film by inserting a layer of a metal or alloy having absorbing effect for light into said reflection reducing film. CONSTITUTION:A first dielectric layer 2 having 2.00-2.40 refractive index and (0.03Xlambda0/4)-(0.50Xlambda0/4) (wherein lambda0 is a central wavelength) optical film thickness is formed on the surface of a transparent substrate 1 having 1.40-1.70 refractive index. Then, a layer 3 of metal or either one of Ti, Cr, Zr, Mo, or stainless steel, or an alloy thereof having 26-46Angstrom thickness is formed there on. Further, a second dielectric layer 4 having 2.00-2.40 refractive index and (0.60Xlambda0/4)-(1.30Xlambda0/4) optical film thickness and a dielectric layer 5 having 1.37-1.50 refractive index and (1.00Xlambda0/4)-(1.08Xlambda0/4) optical film thickness are formed successively thereon. Thus, not only incident light to the transparent plate but also reflected light on the rear surface of the transparent plate are absorbed in the metal layer or the alloy layer and attenuated, so a visual reflec tion factor of the transparent plate is regulated to a small value <=0.1%. |
