The invention relates to a device which modifies installations supplied with or backed up by a DC voltage, normally from a battery, such as lighting or alarm systems, so as to allow the transfer of computer data therein. It consists in the insertion in series of electrical conductance threshold elements (1) into the ordinary circuit comprising a load (2), a DC supply (3) and a switch (4). The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the installation of computer systems which are supplied and which communicate through battery-supplied signalling networks. <IMAGE>
