PURPOSE:To provide a printing device capable of previously recognizing a color chip data regarding a desired color before printing. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet color printer 10 comprises, besides a controller 16 and an operation panel 24, a color information storage 22 for storing color chip data, a color regeneration processing section 31 for converting the color chip data into a density data of colors of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, and an output section 29 for discharging color ink after the density of it is adjusted in accordance with the density data of each color. When a color chip output mode and a surface color system are selected at the operation panel 24, the color chip data such as color chip number, RGB and coloring example of the color chip are printed as a color chip sample. |
