PURPOSE:To enable the obtaining of a smooth color M mode image even when an updating rate of the results of a CFM analysis is delayed as compared with the timing at which the direction of time axis of a display memory is shifted because of a scroll/sweep operation. CONSTITUTION:A counter 710 which counts an RPF signal (1) or is reset at an updating timing (2) of the results of a color M mode analysis transmits the results (a) of counting to arithmetic section 7. The updating timing (2) is divided to a half with a 1/2 frequency divider 711 to control a multiplexer 712 by a frequency division signal (3) obtained so that a writing port to a dual port memory 70 of W data of the results of the color M mode analysis is switched while the frequency signal (3) is sent to an arithmetic section 713. When the frequency division signal (3) is turned On, the results of the color M mode analysis are written into a first memory means 70a when the frequency division signal (3) is turned ON and into a second memory means 70b when it is turned OFF. CFM analysis results data are read out with the arithmetic section 713 and an interpolation output is calculated to send out an interpolation signal to a color M mode display memory.
