Recombinant, neuronally specifically activated, transcribable linear DNA construct having a neuronally specific DNA control element for the transcription initiation of a structural gene located downstream in the 3' direction; a transcribable, eucaryotic structure oncogene which is inserted downstream of the neuronally specific DNA control element in the 3' direction, and optionally a construct added downstream of the structure gene in the 3'-direction, consisting of a transcribable reporter gene, coupled to a DNA fragment added upstream in the 5'-direction, which codes for an internal ribosome binding site (IRBS).
