Space-saving scaffolding system

A scaffolding system (10) for securing stage spotlights or other pieces of equipment comprises a fixed frame for protecting the elements and a vertically adjustable platform (20), from which the elements can be suspended and from which easy access to the elements can also be gained. A plurality of scaffolding systems can be connected to one another either in a straight line or in an angled-off manner, depending on the geometry of the construction location. The platform (20) can be adjusted vertically in dependence on the elements used and/or on the geometry of the construction location. Legs (130, 131, 132, 133) with castors likewise constitute part of the system, and these permit easy movement of the system and impact damping with respect to the elements. The platform (20) is cushioned with respect to impact and vibration by helical impact dampers (84) which are interposed between frame and platform (20). The system can be easily assembled and dismantled and, in comparison with known systems, requires a smaller amount of labour. <IMAGE>
