Surface structural elements for framework structures which exhibit a saddleback roof and are of differently sized surface areas, characterised by the following features: - pole-plate and frame beams (10, 18) for the gables are of constant length and constant cross-section, - all posts (14, 36), crossmembers (30, 38) and struts (32, 34, 40, 42) are of constant length and constant cross-section, - rafters (20, 22) and roof trusses (18, 24, 26, 28) are of constant length and constant cross-section and, depending on height, of the same dimensions, - lateral pole-plate beams (12) and frame beams (16) and purlins (44, 46, 48, 50, 52) are of different lengths with unit-dimension graduations, and - all parts are cut to size and pretreated in a single standard unit dimension. <IMAGE>
