PURPOSE:To reduce a cross-talk signal from an adjacent track when preformatted information constituted of a prepit existing in a recording medium is reproduced and to eliminate an offset voltage generated in a push-pull signal in an optical information recording medium in which a recording operation and a reproduction operation can be performed by tracking both a groove and a land. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 3 and lands 2 as regions in which information is recorded and reproduced and prepits 4 which contain address information on each piece of data are former as rows on the surface of a medium. The rows of the prepits are arranged in such a way that their central line is deviated by P/4 with reference to the central line of the grooves 3 when the interval between the grooves (a track pitch) is designated as P. The lands 2 are arranged in such a way that their central line is situated in the middle between the central line and the central line of both adjacent grooves. In addition, no groove exists in a preformatted region which is constituted of the rows of the prepits. |
