PURPOSE:To shorten the lengths of respective X-axis screws to make high-speed rotation to perform various workings having different feed rate by button- touching a table to two X-axis screws arranged in series in a fore and aft direction to be moved in the fore and aft direction. CONSTITUTION:A table 3 is placed movably along an X-axis rail on an X-axis bed extended in a fore and aft direction, and is moved by rotating a first X-axis screw 7 in a condition where a first locking device 22 provided on the front end part of the table 3 is engaged with a first drive top 11. Cutting work such as groove forming and surface forming, etc., is performed to work loaded on the table 3 by a working machine 43 fitted to the front surface part of a Y-axis column 40. Then the table 3 is moved in a fore and aft direction by a second X-axis screw 8 by operating a second locking device 32 provided on the rear end part of the table 3 to be engaged with a second drive top 20, performing boring work, etc., by a working machine 44 wherein the work is fitted to the rear surface part of the Y-axis column 40. |
