PURPOSE:To define a damper chamber always at a fixed position in a valve Which is opened and closed through the reciprocation of a valve plunger by hydraulic oil, by reciprocatably providing a cylinder member in which the plunger is fitted. CONSTITUTION:When hydraulic oil in an oil chamber 11 which is pressurized by the reciprocation of a cam plunger 7 effected by the rotation of the cam shaft 10a, is led into a small diameter hole 19b of a cylinder hole 19, and is also led into a damper chamber 21 by way of a passage in a valve plunger 20, a small diameter part 20b and a large diameter part 20a of the valve plunger 20 are pushed out. Accordingly, the valve plunger 20 is reciprocated so that a valve 2 is lifted from a valve seat 4, overcoming a spring 3. When one end surface of the small diameter part 20 of the valve plunger 20 abuts against the bottom surface of a cylinder hole 19 which is formed in a slidable cylinder member 18, that is, when the valve plunger 20 is returned to a predetermined position, the damper chamber 21 is defined.
