<p>PURPOSE:To restrict the generation of noise during the paper feeding operation by reducing the impact at the time of pressure-contact of a pick-up roller with the paper. CONSTITUTION:A retreat quantity change lever 21, a link 23 having a long hole 23a and a plunger 26a of a solenoid 26 are connected to a canceling shaft 13 of a cancel lever 12 for retreating a pick-up roller. The solenoid 26 is turned on/off to change the angle of turning of the cancel lever 12, and the retreat quantity of the pick-up roller per each paper feeding operation is set smaller than the retreat quantity thereof at the time of inserting and ejecting a paper feeding cassette. With this structure, the retreat quantity of the pick-up roller per each paper feeding operation can be set at a required minimum value, and as a result, impact at the time of pressure-contact of the pick-up roller with the paper is reduced to restrict the generation of noise during the paper feeding operation.</p> |
