PURPOSE:To separate and classify a powder efficiently from a material including the powder by charging negatively the material by a power source which applies a negative electric field and sticking the material to a dielectric substance facing an electric discharge substance in a low temperature plasma area generated by the electric discharge substance. CONSTITUTION:An electric discharge substance in which discharge electrodes 1 (1.1-1.n) and a dielectric electrode 2 are arranged on the both sides of a dielectric substance is mounted on the surface of an ultrasonic generator 10 with the discharge electrodes 1 open. A dielectric substance 5.1 with a strong dielectric constant is placed at a specific distance from the discharge substance, and a counter electrode 5 is arranged on the surface the dielectric substance. The discharge electrode 1, the dielectric electrode 2, and the counter electrode are connected with a bias direct current power source 6 and a negative potential high frequency high voltage power source 7. The material to be treated, for example, a mixture of rice grains 8 and rice bran 9 is introduced into a space divided by dielectric substances 3, 5, 1. By charging negatively the mixture, the rice brain is stuck to the dielectric substance 5.1 so that the rice grains 8 can be separated and classified. |
