<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the consumption of compressed air when a desiccant is regenerated by decreasing the capacity of a regeneration tank as the temp. of the compressed air introduced into a drying cylinder from its inlet is lowered. CONSTITUTION:A regeneration tank 19 is divided by a partition wall 26 into an auxiliary chamber 28 and a space 29 communicating with a drying cylinder 73 at all times. When the compressed air flowing into an inlet 5 is controlled to <= about 40 deg.C, the fact is detected by a temp. sensor 68, a valve opening coil 52 is energized for a specified time by a control part 70, and a solenoid valve 27 is opened. Consequently, the auxiliary chamber 28 does not communicate with the space 29, and the capacity of the regeneration tank 19 is reduced by the capacity of the auxiliary chamber 28. Accordingly, when a desiccant 80 is dried, the moisture depositing on the desiccant 80 is discharged to the atmosphere only by the dry compressed air stored in the space 29.</p> |
