<p>An apparatus for locating a source of a leakage of water in a waterproofed building or the like, comprising a stationary terminal, and a localizing terminal. The stationary terminal is held connected to a water plug which is electrically conductive to a reinforcing bar included in the structural material of the buiding. On the other hand, the localizing terminal is moved on the surface of that portion (waterproof layer) of the building in which the source of the leakage of water is to be located, and on which a water film is formed for the localization. An electric resistance thus measured lowers when the localizing terminal has touched a crack developed in the waterproof layer and forming the cause of the leaking of rain. Accordingly, the crack can be found easily and reliably.</p> |
