METHOD OF REMOTE PROSPECTING FOR MINERAL DEPOSITS

The proposed method involves interpreting a surface relief map of the area under investigation and identifying linear and circular structures, determining the density of the said structures and drawing up a first map on which are shown areas with a summary anomalous density indicator. A second map is drawn up showing areas where circular and/or linear structures connect and intersect. The first and second maps are compared and another map is compiled showing structural zones (8) with a coincidence of areas with a summary anomalous density indicator and areas in which circular and/or linear structures intersect and connect. The location of mineral deposits is indicated by the location of the structural zones (8) thus identified.
