<p>System for the emergency plugging of leaks in steam ships and boats in general comprising a canvas of impermeable material reinforced with a series of rigid bars, rolled up on itself and kept in an appropriate accommodation of the ship, which canvas is transported to the site of a leak, unrolled, and thus made to descend via cords so as to cover the zone of the gash with the possible action of electromagnets lowered at the ends of the canvas, while the pressure of the water that tries to penetrate into the hull and the action of the electromagnets ensure that the canvas is fitted to the side of the vessel and thus closes the gash. <IMAGE></p> |
