PURPOSE:To prevent the air bubbles produced in an ink tank from entering an ink jet head by providing a branch pipe to an ink supply tube and giving ultrasonic vibrations to the neighborhood of the branch pipe. CONSTITUTION:A branch pipe 8 is made upward, with its mounth open to the atmosphere, and is formed to such a size and shape that ink slightly rises owing to capillarity. Thereupon, if it is assumed that an air bubble is produced in an ink tank 6 and this air bubble begins to move toward a head 5 by passing through an ink supply pipe 7 owing to the flow of the ink, then the air bubble moves and ascends toward the branch pipe 8 and escapes to the atmosphere because the branch pipe 8 is provided on the way of the ink supply pipe 7 and its neighborhood is being excited by an ultrasonic oscillator 9. Hence, the movement of the air bubble to the sebsequent parts is prevented, actuating regularly head 5. |
