In each case one outer retaining element (21) of a retaining and bearing device is fastened on a stationary frame (10) of a centre-hung sash hung window, in the centre of the lateral frame parts thereof, while an inner retaining element (22) of the retaining and bearing device, adjacent to the outer retaining element (21), is fastened in each case on the adjacent lateral frame part of a window sash (11) mounted pivotably about a horizontal axis. Each of the inner retaining elements (22) can be pivoted about a bearing bolt (23) guided in the inner retaining element (22). Parallel to the bearing bolt (23), there is releasably mounted, in the outer retaining element (21), stop bolt (24) which projects into a ring-sector cutout (25) formed in the inner retaining element (22). The window sash (11) can thus be pivoted relative to the window frame (10) through approximately half the angle of the ring-sector cutout (25) with respect to the inserted stop bolt (24), while the window sash (11) can be pivoted relative to the window frame (10) through 180 DEG when the stop bolt (24) has been removed. <IMAGE>
