<p>A fluid connector (1) comprising a socket (2), a plug (39) and a mechanism for locking the plug (39) in the socket which has an axial passage (6) and a first valve mechanism (10, 22), for opening and closing the passage (6). The first valve mechanism includes a stem (9) having one end fixed to the socket (2) and the other end formed with a valve seat (10), a sleeve-like slide member (17) movable in the axial passage (6) a first packing (22) provided on the slide member, for opening and closing the passage (6) in cooperation with the valve seat (10), and means (19) for urging the slide member (17) toward the valve seat (10) and causing it to abut the first packing. The plug (39) being insertable in the socket (2) is formed with axial holes. A second valve mechanism (46, 50) for opening and closing the axial hole (51) is provided in the plug and includes a valve member (46) slidably provided in the plug and urged towards a second packing (49) in the end portion thereof for retaining the valve member (46) and closing the axial hole (51) in cooperation with the valve member (46). <IMAGE></p> |
