<p>PURPOSE:To segment picture data on a multiwindow displayed on a display based upon a range specified by a user and to convert the format of the segmented data into the one capable of executing FAX transmission so as to transmit the data. CONSTITUTION:A personal computer or work station 1 having a multiwindow function is provided with a segmentation rectangle storing part 5 for storing the coordinates of a segmentation range specified by a mouse 4, a segmenting part 7 for segmenting picture information of the segmentation range specified by the mouse 4, a segmented data storing part 8 for storing the picture information segmented by the segmenting part 7, a FAX transformation part 9 for transforming the picture information stored in the storing part 8 into picture information enabled to be transmitted through FAX, a control part 10 for controlling these respective parts, and a FAX adaptor 11.</p> |
