PURPOSE:To provide a fuel cell testing device which can perform a test using a dummy cell on the basis of the operating characteristics of a true fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:A fuel cell testing device includes a reformer 10 which burns anode exhaust 4 from a fuel cell with part of cathode exhaust 7 and reforms fuel gas 1 into anode gas using the heat of the burning, an exhaust circulation line 30 through which combustion exhaust emitted from the reformer is supplied to the cathode gas that enters the fuel cell, and an air supply device 40 for supplying air to the exhaust circulation line. The testing device further includes a dummy cell 21 having the same gas inlet and outlet as the fuel cell, a plurality of flow sensors 12, 13, 23, 41 for detecting the rate of gas flow through each part of the testing device, and an arithmetic unit 50 for calculating the reaction characteristics of the reformer and the fuel cell. The arithmetic unit calculates the compositions of the anode and cathode gases and calculates the fuel utilization rate of the reformer, the voltage and output of the fuel cell, and inverter output from the compositions. |
