PURPOSE:To easily select, change, and specify a dictionary to be used and to improve the operability by assigning KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI (Chinese character) conversion instructions by dictionaries, used for the KANA- KANJI conversion of a document, to free function keys on the keyboard respectively. CONSTITUTION:A KANA-KANJI conversion instruction allocating means 46 manages free function key information on the keyboard 4 at all times and allocates the KANA-KANJI conversion instructions by the selected and specified dictionaries, stored in a selected dictionary register 19, to the free function keys. The dictionary names allocated to the free function keys are written in a function register 47. A function key function display means 48 displays the function keys and the dictionary names corresponding to them at a display part 23. A user selects a function key displayed at the display part 23 to performs the KANA-KANJI conversion of a created document, displayed on the display screen, by using the specific dictionary. |
