PURPOSE:To provide an arachidonic acid dysbolism disease therapeutic agent containing a compound having a 5-lipoxygenase-inhibiting action and a cyclooxygenase-inhibiting action as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An arachidonic acid dysbolism disease therapeutic agent contains a compound of the formula (R1, R2 are H, 3,3-dimethylallyl) as an active ingredient and is useful for the therapy of inflammation, thrombosis, allergies, asthma, etc. The compound of the formula is extracted from a galenical: Mori cortex, its original plant: American mulberry, other same genus plant or from a galenical: Glycyrrhizae radix, its original plant: licorice (e.g. Glycyrrhiza glabra), other same genus plant [e.g. INUGANZ0 (a kind of licorice)], and is administered at a dose of 50mg to 5g/day/adult orally or at a dose of 0.1mg to 1g/day/adult parenterally. |
