PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality and activated cement clinker which does not deteriorate cement strength even under a low temp. condition which does not use a specified additive in the novel firing method for the cement clinker in which the activated cement clinker is fired at a relatively low temp. in order to improve cement quality and in the activated cement clinker. CONSTITUTION:In the firing method for the cement clinker, after introducing the starting material of the cement clinker, the starting material is heated rapidly up to within the firing temp. range of 1300-1400 deg.C by a temp. rising rate of >=100 deg.C/min, and the starting material is kept at the raised firing temp. condition for a specified time of sinter the cement clinker. The activated cement clinker is characterized by having an enthalpy corresponding to >=100 deg.C temp. defference.
