<p>PURPOSE:To provide an active sludge treatment method which is suitable for producing useful material by a method in which the bulking of active sludge in a general purpose facility is prevented even when original waste water of different kinds is introduced, labor saving is attempted by the stabilization of operations, the production of excessive sludge is reduced by decreasing the installation area of a waste water treatment facility. CONSTITUTION:In active sludge treatment of dirty substances in original waste water, returned sludge (reacted sludge) is mixed with the original waste water, and the mixture is agitated. The reacted sludge is concentrated by sedimentation or separated by pressurized floating concentration to obtain sludge with high solid content (reacted sludge concentrated by adsorption) and the treated original water. The reacted sludge concentrated by adsorption is treated by aerobic and anaerobic digestion in a concentrated sludge digestion tank. The dirty substances adsorbed on the reacted sludge is decomposed by microorganisms to obtain digested sludge. The digested sludge is returned continuously to the aerator and circulated to be used together with the returned sludge so that bacteria are cultivated to be suitable for the treatment, and the original waste water is treated efficiently. Promoted digestion reduces the amount of sludge discharged outside the system.</p> |
