<p>The compressor has a piston (7) with its rod (9) connected to a crankshaft (8) which has one end (12) set in an aperture (13) in a bearing plate (14) made from pressed sheet metal. The edges of the bearing plate aperture are made with sharp angles to enhance the bearing capacity of the aperture itself, which has a constant diameter along its axis. The bearing plate, which is made in one piece, has reinforcing ribs distributed round the aperture. The ribs are straight and project from the inside of the plate.</p> |
